Great food in a comfortable setting with a roaring fireplace on cold nights. Welcoming friendly staff and the Beat the Clock menu is worth an early arrival.

Shakesbys is great quality and value. The menu is mostly traditional British fayre set in a warm, informal space.

Super delicious, traditional restaurant with a modern twist. A charming atmosphere and friendly staff. The vegetarian options are always brilliant (not your usual stroganoff option!) and I’ve been told the braised blade of beef is the choice for meat eaters. A little more expensive but worth it. They do a discounted early bird menu between 5pm - 6:30pm, Tuesday - Friday.
