Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant is a delicious and fun stop in Sister Bay. Their roof is covered in grass that is maintained by...GOATS! We highly recommend trying the lingonberry jam! They also have a gift store attached that is fun to walk through with interesting items that might surprise you.

It’s often crowded but you HAVE TO GO!!! The Swedish Pancakes are buttery and light as a feather. Hot chocolate comes with a mountain of whipped cream. Perch is golden and crisp. Specials are always wonderful. Everyone knows that food tastes better when there are goats on the roof!!!!

This restaurant also has rosemaling by Sigmund Aarseth and was also imported from Telemark Norway. The original owner, Al, was good friends with the original owner of Binkhaven. They also have goats on their grass roof, a tourist favorite.

It's the bomb. Must have the Swedish Pancakes or the roast beef sandwich on limpa (a swedish rye bread) Of course selfies of the goats are a must

This is an authentic Swedish log cabin restaurant with grass roof with goats. Great breakfasts and lunches. Adjoining gift shop with marvelous gifts
