A popular picnic and playground area located at Oats Street in Kewdale, Tomato Lake contains a wetland, a central lake, 1.6km walking trail, nature sanctuary island and boardwalk across the lake. The lake is home to diverse birdlife including ducks, ibis and swans. Tomato Lake Kiosk is open Wed to Sun, 10am - 5pm. In school holidays, it is open seven days. Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day. The Lake is popular for weddings and wedding photography.

Tomato Lake is a beautiful park, it has wonderful walking paths. The park is a protected bird sanctuary and as such is prolific with different breeds of birds that make it their home.
