Six kilometres long and crowned by an ancient watchtower, Sa Dragonera takes its name from its shape, said to resemble a dragon or because of its inhabitants: little lizards.

A daily boat service runs from Port Andratx to Dragonera stopping off at the picturesque seaside resort of Sant Elm on the way. The coastline of the SW is stunning and the nature reserve of Dragonera (a small island just off the coast of Sant Elm) is an enjoyable family excursion.
