Batsford Arboretum, Glos www.batsarb.co.uk Containing a huge variety of native flora and fauna as well as Champion trees being the largest or widest of their kind and Red Data trees are species on the verge of extinction or already extinct in the wild. Batsford has helt the national Collection of Japanese flowering cherries since 2002 with at least 70% of known cultivars. Careful management creates an environment in which animals and insects thrive with hundreds of different species making it a relaxing place to walk and a great place for wildlife watching. Plenty of events with dawn chorus walks and moth nights.

Batsford, home to the country's largest private collection of trees and shrubs, is an intimate and romantic place to visit, with interest all year round from the first snowdrops of spring, right through to the outstanding autumn colour in October and November.
