Beautiful, extensive area of common land just 10 minutes down the road. Suitable for jogging, relaxing etc. Has around 50 local horses who live there year round.

West Common is an area of some 100 hectares in Witham Valley Country Park. It is situated to the north and south of Carholme Road, giving excellent views of the Cathedral and the historic hilltop. It represents eleven percent of the City’s neutral grassland and marsh resource, and supports a population of skylark.

This is a great place to walk your dog, go for a run or just a leisurely walk. there are horses and loads of wildlife. this is a great space

Beautiful wild Common land perfect for dog walking or picnics. Scattered with horses and ponies.
