This museum is so much fun, no matter how old you are. They have amazing dinosaurs, a butterfly house you can walk through and all kinds of animals and labs. So many hands-on activities! And, the food in the cafe is pretty good too.

5 E. Edenton St, Raleigh, NC 27601 - 8 min away - open 9am-5pm Mon-Sat, 12-5pm Sun. This is in downtown Raleigh, right across from the NC Museum of History as well, and both are free! They are great for adults and kids alike, though younger kids will be more into the science museum. They are also on a square that contains the NC State Capitol building, so it’s nice for a stroll around as well.
