You might prefer the local chain Rouses Market at 4645 Freret Street (18 minute walk or 3 minute drive) and 4500 Tchoupitoulas Street. The Freret location is newer and will have most items needed on vacation.

Great local supermarket, that also has a nice deli with hot food. They also have a great wine, liquor and beer section.
