3 miles away. Take the incline up the mountain to Mount Washington to get some of the best views of Pittsburgh. Mount Washington is full of restaurants and bars and a great place to walk around in!

Riding the inclined railroad to the top of Mt Washington is a great Pittsburgh experience. The Duquesne incline is another option a little way down Carson St. The view from either spot is astonishing and unforgettable.

Somewhat less famous, definitely less crowded and less touristy, but no less spectacular The Monongahela Incline is one of two inclines, (or funiculars), that run on Mount Washington. The view from the top is unbelievable with an incredible view of the city and at the end of the iconic Grandview Ave., itself a wonderful walk and way to see Pittsburgh. Don't be surprised if you see bridal and / or promo photos being taken on one of the many viewing platforms. Stroll up Shiloh Street on the top of Mt. Washington and visit some of our favorite shops like love, Pittsburgh featuring handmade goods by local artists (like us!).
