The Workhouse is a community heritage centre situated just South West of the village of Dunfanaghy. The Workhouse has been a centre for heritage and cultural events for the community and a central tourist information hub for visitors since 1995

There is a small play park for children at the side of The Workhouse. There is also a famine tour here for rainy days. They also serve nice cake!

This is an Old Workhouse, which now houses a Heritage Centre, which explores local history and culture, as well as an exhibition centre, coffee shop, art gallery, craft and book shop. Take half hour here on a wet day if you want to take in local things that have happened and the impact that they had.

Interesting museum of local history. Good play area for children. Cafe in the building.
