Still a great place to go for “babi guling” or roasted pork Balinese style, despite the modern feel of the restaurant (a decade ago patrons used to just sit on the floor while they eat their food) and expanding into 3 branches. Big groups should go to Ibu Oca 3 for more space.

Tucked away in a spot opposite the former Royal Palace, Ibu Oka's shanty cafe is an Ubud institution that draws both locals and food lovers from around the world. Babi guling is Balinese roast suckling pig and that, and only that, is what everyone is here to feast on. The pork is unbelievably succulent and the crackling is the best you'll ever taste, all for a grand total of £2.
