Grumpy’s Café is 5 minutes to your left out of our front gate over to 14th Street. Featuring classic American breakfasts such as biscuits with sausage gravy, pancakes, homemade corned beef hash and many other items. Usually quite busy on weekends, expect a wait between 9:00 and noon.

Kathy Owad created this neighborhood diner and now the 2nd generation of family & friends running this popular place (Sat/Sun there will be 25 ppl waiting outside on sidewalk for a table). In a classic "could only happen in Tremont", when Grumpy's original location burned down on Literary just after we moved into Tremont (early 2000's) all the other restaurant owners had a fundraiser to put her back in business. That's how beloved this place is.
