A beautiful small island off the coast of Dar-es-Salaam. Beautiful views, fewer people and the tastiest prawns!

You can catch the boat to Bongoyo Island from the Slipway. It is good to go on one of the first ferries around 9 a.m. and come back around 2 p.m. There are cold drinks (beer/sodas/water) and hot food (fish/calamari/prawns/chicken and chips) for sale on the island. There are some good snorkeling spots just off the island.

The best place if one need to have a completely calm down . The place is for relaxation, swimming, snorkeling and diving.

Bongoyo island is a short boat trip from Slipway Hotel. It is the perfect place to rest, rejuvenate and relax in Tanzania.
