The Markt has traditionally been the commercial center of the city and is still partially so. Every Wednesday morning there is still a market here in the morning. The Market is a whole of beautiful facades, including a number of very typical step gables.

If you happen to be in Bruges on a Wednesday morning, do not miss the morning market. Fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants.. And home made delicious waffles! There is also an organic veg and fruit stall, just opposite the Belfry
