The last bastion of old Baltimore in the vicinity of MICA, this cash-only dive is clinging to life as the area around it rapidly gentrifies. Often voted among the best bars in America, it still attracts a mostly local crowd and most Baltimoreans don't even know it exists. Nicknamed the "Dirty Church" for its reproduction of the Sistene Chapel on the ceiling, it may be the most atmospheric bar in all of Baltimore.

Right across the street from the Mt. Royal Tavern, the light rail takes you to the Inner Harbor, Camden Yards for baseball, and BWI Airport among many other places.
