The second oldest family-owned brewery in America! Gardens, historic mansion, free-roaming peacocks & deer enclosure, outdoor biergarten, German style Rathskeller taproom, gift shop & museum, plus tours where you can sample Schell beer! All nestled in the woods, just at the south end of town.

Schell's Brewery is one of those places that you won't easily forget. We've been bringing our kids here to walk the gardens and see the peacocks and deer for years. If you want to take a tour of the brewery itself, They are $10 a person and you can book online to save a spot. 1919 root beer available to those who don't drink. Sweet little gift shop with comfy sweatshirts and beer paraphernalia. Pro Tip: Bring some oyster crackers or saltines along to feed the peacocks. * Garden paths are illuminated by hundreds of luminaries on Christmas Eve and Christmas day Eve. A family tradition for our family after church services.
