The Gualala river is a fun and easy kayaking experience and the folks who own this rental are great and it's easy to reserve over the phone. The staff is very knowledgeable and the price is very reasonable; the water is usually very mild. You'll be provided with life-jackets and dry bags as well. Very low key, you can stop on some beaches to eat, walk around, and enjoy the scenery. Adventure Rents provides self-guided rentals in single and tandem kayaks and canoes, for up to a 2-hour paddle, a 2-4 hr. You might even meet one of the very friendly river otters along the way!

They provide self-guided rentals in the top of the line watercraft; single and tandem kayaks and canoes, for up to a 2-hour paddle, a 2-4 hr. ‘half day’ tour for time to picnic, swim and explore or a full day river adventure.
