10 min drive to this Park with riverside walks served by toilets and cafe, leading to Ecclesall Road which hosts plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops at one end or Mayfield Valley countryside at the the other end.

Another beautiful river walk and cafe. Forge Dam is stunning, if you keep walking out you’ll end up in the beautiful Mayfield Valley. My children love the mandarin ducks on the mill pond above the cafe. There’s a children’s play area right next to the cafe. For a perfect short walk (1.5miles ish) park on Rustlings Road (opposite Endcliffe Park) and walk up through Bingham path (entrance on your left by the mini roundabout) on the level footpath as far as Forge Dam - it’s buggy / scooter friendly too. You pass the Shepherd’s Wheel (check when it’s open) for a bit of history - and keep your eyes peeled for the home made rope swing on your left.
