Gabriel's Gully was the site of the first gold strike in New Zealand. It is a fascinating site to visit. Don't forget to pop into Lawrence and see the local museum and view the old buildings and shops. It was once the Dubai of New Zealand!

Interesting look at the early gold mining. Gorgeous walk. About an hour's drive from Dunedin. Wonderful daffodils in spring
