What a wonderful idea to turn a tragic loss of beautiful stately old trees due to hurricane into works of art for all of us to enjoy and enable the turning of some of the bad memories of the terrible destruction of a hurricane into something good.

After Ike there were many downed trees in the old Silk Stocking District and from these trees there have been carvings made, walk or ride the streets and look at some of the amazing carvings.

This is so cool trees that died during the hurricanes have been carved into magnificent sculptures. A MUST SEE!
