A very special line that survived Beeching's cuts of the 1960's - bringing early season daffodils, strawberries, cherries and apples to Plymouth and thence to the markets of London's Covent Garden and beyond. Iconic views from Calstock's viaduct over the Tamar, through farmyards and orchards, beside creeks and suddenly alongside Her Majesty's Naval Base, Devonport, the largest naval base in Western Europe and the sole nuclear repair and refuelling facility for the Royal Navy.
