A hotel lounge that always has a giant flower arrangement front and center, displaying the creativity of the modern ikebana art scene regardless of season. The building, notable for its use of traditional woodwork, was designed by star architect Kengo Kuma, and visitors can enjoy a quiet teatime while gazing out to the water garden outside. The lounge is famous for its German apple pancakes, with rigid-yet-delicate raised edges that keep the generous topping of apples and syrup from overflowing out onto the plate.
