Location is in Mono County near June lakes, this natural dome was created out of lava which solidified to black glass, hence the name, obsidian.

This incredible Rock formation is a must see.

Easy hike for the whole family to enjoy. Slight uphill to get to the main area and then you can leisurely walk around or be more adventurous exploring all the rocks. Approx 25 minute drive from Modern Mammoth Getaway towards June Lake.
