This is a long surfing beach with sand at all times. It is about a 30 minute drive. At one end it has large car parks and various cafés, plus public toilets. You can hire wet suits and surf boards, and there are lifeguards.

This is your nearest (10mins drive) south coast surfing spot. Loads of parking, surf hire and coaching available, and in season the lifeguards are on duty. Sandbar is a great place to eat and drink

"If the swell has more Southerly in it or if the West Coast is taking a beating then this is a good option. Can be a bit fickle and have steep take offs but still a fun wave."
