SOUGIA BEACH This is yet another stretch of beach with crystalline water and restaurants and cafes. There are trails with the most scenic terrain on either side. To the East the more adventurous can climb to Prophet Ilias peak and to the West one can explore the ancient ruins of the Temple of Asclepius and the necropolis of Lyssos.

Sougia is a small village located 75km west of Chania city, at the exit of the beautiful Gorge of Agia Irini.
