If you are near the bridge or the historic district, one can stroll through Space View Park that goes down to the river and the Space Walk of Fame across the street. Both of these contemplative areas are free (there is a museum nearby with a similar name that is not free). Through various sculptures and commemorative placks, tribute is paid to those who made accomplishments in space through the years, including some who lost their lives in the process.

Excellent view of our beautiful new b ridge from here, and this park honors and reveres the space program's pioneers and astronauts.
