Great place to get a muffaletta. They also have salads, seafood, gumbo, and other Louisiana favorites.

They say the muffuletta was invented at Central Grocery in the French Quarter. If you want the classic sandwich without waiting in the line, DiMartino's is great (and they have other options too).

Just outside our neighborhood but worth a little drive into the rest of Algiers. The best shrimp poboy, roast beef poboy, and muffuletta you can find in New Orleans!!
