Chichester is a Roman cathedral city and the only city in West Sussex located around 10 miles from Arundel. Its historical evidence of Roman settlement can be found all over the city, including some Roman baths, a city wall (which was replaced by a Georgian wall), an amphitheatre which is now a park and the old Roman road State Street linking Chichester with London. There are plenty of things to do in and around this historic city! You can see a show at the renowned Chichester Festival Theatre, visit Goodwood Races including the Festival of Speed, explore the Cathedral and shops in the city centre and also visit Chichester Harbour.
