The cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Paderborn. Dating back to the 8th century, it is an exceptional example of Romanesque Gothic Architecture. Beautiful over-sized examples of finely carved marble and wood sculptures as well as ornate ironwork to be found. The lower ground Crypt houses the bones of St Liborius and glistening mosaic floor are not to be missed.

Der Hohe Dom St. Maria, St. Liborius, St. Kilian ist die Kathedralkirche des Erzbistums Paderborn und liegt im Zentrum der Paderborner Innenstadt, oberhalb der Paderquellen. Die ortsbildprägende Anlage mit dem markanten mächtigen Westturm über dem Chor, der von zwei runden Türmen flankiert wird, ist überwiegend in spätromanischen und gotischen Formen gehalten.

Schon von weitem ist der 92 m hohe Turm des Paderborner Doms zu sehen und prägt das Stadtbild. Der heutige Dom stammt im Wesentlichen aus dem 13. Jahrhundert.
