This house used to belong to a Viscount. Its richly decorated interior was designed by York’s most distinguished eighteenth-century architect, John Carr. They sometimes put on events!

This is a beautifully restored Georgian townhouse. Not big but fascinating then go to York Cocoa Works on the same street for a great hot chocolate.

Georgian town house. Wonderful example, decorated and furnished in the style with history of owners. Not extensive but very beautiful and well worth the trip. Has a gift shop.
