FUN for the kids! Watch airplanes take off at the RDU Observation Park (at airport, past the rental cars)- has free parking, elevated observation platform, picnic and play area, listen to communication between pilots and the tower.

A great little place to view the runway at RDU airport and see the planes land and/or take off. Also includes a little play area with a miniature runway. Hours 9am-7pm.

If you're into aviation you can get a front seat to all the action at Raleigh-Durham International Airport from the RDU Observation Deck.
