Kanoni è il promontorio che si protende esattamente parallelo alla pista d’atterraggio dell’aeroporto, a sud della città. Sulla sua sommità si trovano due bar piuttosto grandi, su una terrazza che domina la laguna sottostante e la testa della pista di atterraggio: è molto bello venirci al tramonto, anche se il sole va giù dietro le montagne dell'’isola e non in mare. Da qui si vede pure la cosiddetta “isola dei topi” o Pontikonissi, cavallo di battaglia delle cartoline corfiote. Bisogna qui fare attenzione ai mesè, che nel bar di destra, arrivando, sono mastodontici e non eccezionali. Rinnovato di recente, non ha variato molto l’offerta di materiale edibile, ma va benissimo per bere qualcosa

The photo is an underestimation of the experience enjoying your coffee at Kanoni Cafe. It is a unique scenery where airplanes are parading in front of the blue sky to land almost inside the sea. As you explore the vastness of the sea you will notice a strip of land that connects Kanoni with Panorama areas where usually lots of fishermen are gathered. It is just down the hill if you walk a few minutes. And with the view of the famous mouse island in the middle of the sea you will want to spend a good amount of the day there as it will be difficult to beat that view

Enjoy your coffee and admire the monastery of Vlacherna. Excellent view of landing planes that you can also enjoy from the kanoni bridge as the planes come above your heads!
