Oh we had so much fun! This early evening experience met in the Thames neighborhood. The rickshaw was well maintained and safely transported us through bustling streets to the old Asan city market. Our guide accompanied us in a second rickshaw, and we had numerous opportunities to walk around and take photos. Our guide Yogi, is incredibly knowledgeable of both Buddhist and Hindi traditions. We appreciated being paired with such a personable guide who expertly answered our numerous questions about Nepal. The beauty of Kathmandu is highlighted in this tour which included an evening stroll through Durban Square. Yes…if you get a chance, book this tour.

We scheduled this experience for our first day in Kathmandu. This experience included many of the highlights and offered an excellent orientation to the region. Our knowledgeable guide Yogesh is a born teacher. We visited the beautiful UNESCO Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temples. This is a nicely paced walking tour, and gave us lots of opportunities to take photos and just settle into being in Nepal. Our guide took time to teach us so much about the local culture. As evening came we watched the cremation ceremonies on the Bagmati River. It was a perfect day. Thanks again to our guide Yogi, who took the time to educate us and provide an excellent once in a lifetime adventure.
