We wanted to experience local Japanese culture firsthand and this experience knocked it out of the park!! Intimate in size, 3 of us guests under Ikuko and Takumi's teaching, the space was filled with warmth, patience, laughter and conversations from beginning to end. The flow of the class was so smooth, instruction ahead of our participation, having Takumi translate while Ikuko visually and verbally (in Japanese) showed us what to do, it was like being over at a friend's place for dinner. I am so grateful for the experience and the food was so good!! I absolutely plan on making these recipes at home! 100/10 would recommend this experience to anyone that asks

Ich habe den Kurs alleine gebucht und hatte etwas Bedenken, dass es sich was komisch anfühlt, aber diese Bedenken waren nach keinen 5 Minuten verflogen. Die Gastgeber waren einfach nur herzlich und haben einen direkt freundlich aufgenommen. Das Essen, was wir gemeinsam gekocht haben, hat irre Spaß gemacht und war sehr interessant zu sehen, wie die japanische Küche von der europäischen unterscheidet. Wir waren insgesamt drei Teilnehmer und hatten gemeinsam sehr viel Spaß. Für mich war das ein wundervoller Start in der Stadt Osaka und ich würde es immer wieder buchen. Vielen lieben Dank für diese wundervolle Erfahrung und für den einzigartigen Abend, der mir für immer in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Vielen lieben Dank.

This was my first time making and trying okonomiyaki and I have to say the experience was definitely worth doing. Takumi & his mom were both very welcoming and felt like you were visiting a friend's house for the very first time. Takumi was translating for us while his mom explains the cooking process in Japanese and I have to say I love his mom's enthusiasm. With her encouraging nature, I felt so proud in making my first and second okonomiyaki, I can't wait to bring what I learned back home and share with my family ☺️ Thank you so much for the experience!
