This is a really unique experience! Roman was a good host and gave us a very thorough tour of his family’s winery. We’ve done alot of winery tours and tastings but this was different as it is a small operation. It was interesting to see how they do it with limited time and resources! We enjoyed a really nice tasting with plenty of wines and cheese and bread. The area is very picturesque and calm yet not far from Bratislava. It was really nice to walk through his parents’ backyard, where there are a few rows of vineyards. We were also interested to hear about the history of winemaking in the area and how, sadly, many other people aren’t able to upkeep their land anymore. It’s undoubtedly an area with a rich winemaking history, some good wines, and potential for even more :) Thanks to Roman and family for opening it up to us and others!!

Roman & Miriam’s experience is a fantastic way to see the real Slovakia beyond Bratislava and to get an understanding of both the area and the wine produced there. Provided with a great selection of wines and snacks to accompany and you are able to discover Pezinok and the vineyards in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend!

Roman’s experience is an absolute must do if you are in this region. Miriam was our host and was extraordinary kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. This experience allows you to learn about wine making through the lens of a family who has been doing it for generations. Guests are welcomed into their home like family. Moreover, guests get to explore the town and surrounding vineyards to gather a true sense of the geography and history. Highly recommended this quintessential Airbnb experience.

Miriam made this such a great experience, showing us the wine cellar, the vineyards, and some local spots and history of Pezinok. Her love of this town is so apparent and it made us so excited to experience Pezinok! The wine is delicious and we learned a lot about the whole wine region and it’s history.
