settembre 2025This location was an easy walk from the Colosseum, maybe 10 mins or so. The tour really showcases the layers of history in this fantastic city, from the Roman Empire through the Middle Ages and to today. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and painted a picture of a changing city by real people. As much as I loved the grand monuments, there’s something really special about walking in the footprints (literal and metaphorical) of people’s everyday lives.

luglio 2025for a very unique experience to view some small ruins that are not available to the public, and see where Marcus Aurelius mother lived, this is a must.
Riccardo was awesome. he was extremely knowledgeable. we learned many things to include the reason why so many of the Roman ruins are still standing today (it has to do with a type of self-healing grout!).

luglio 2025This was a unique tour. You see underground ruins that are not available to the general public. Riccardo was fantastic—he is knowledgable and is a great story teller who really helped make history come to life. We learned so much about Ancient Rome. There is a little walking between sites but isn’t far. Not really accessible for disabilities because of stairs and uneven surfaces. I wouldn’t recommend this for children under 10. If you like Roman history, this will be very exciting for you.
