This location was an easy walk from the Colosseum, maybe 10 mins or so. The tour really showcases the layers of history in this fantastic city, from the Roman Empire through the Middle Ages and to today. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and painted a picture of a changing city by real people. As much as I loved the grand monuments, there’s something really special about walking in the footprints (literal and metaphorical) of people’s everyday lives.

The hosts were great an very knowledgeable!

for a very unique experience to view some small ruins that are not available to the public, and see where Marcus Aurelius mother lived, this is a must.

Riccardo was awesome. he was extremely knowledgeable. we learned many things to include the reason why so many of the Roman ruins are still standing today (it has to do with a type of self-healing grout!).
