We loved our stay here-a highlight was the architecture and history of the building, our friendly and laid back host along with the incredible productive garden. We combined our stay with a cooking experience, and learnt traditional cooking methods. Overall our stay was authentic, and a quiet respite away from the hubbub of Kandy. We won’t soon forget relaxing on the verandah! Breakfast also was a hit!

Gorgeous house, and Indrika’s mother was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely helpful with local recommendations and taxis. She made lovely breakfast and was so accommodating. If myself or my friends return to Kandy, we would be coming back to stay here!

A lovely place to stay and spend time. The host's parents have been very helpful and courteous throughout the stay.

Things to note:
1. The place is old and plug sockets are few. The sockets that are present throughout the rooms and common spaces sometime need to be shared with Pedestal fans. Prioritizing charging devices over maintaining a comfortable temperature needs to be thought about (No A/c, so even if you are OK with the temperatures, airflow is a consideration). Maybe carry / ask them for an extension/power strip

2. The location will be a bit tricky to reach. The place is located on a slightly hilly narrow winding road. If you are travelling in a large vehicle (we had a Toyota Coaster), it might barely fit. Parking is good (big driveway).

3. It is their home which they are letting the whole of on Airbnb - they will be present through out the duration of the stay.

This is a 147 year old bungalow, and the stay was simply fantastic. We loved everything about the house and the host was fantastic to stay awake late in the night to welcome us after a tiring day for us. I would highly recommend this place to others.
