Thank you for hosting us. Comfortable and spacious.

Nicki and Bruce are really warm and friendly hosts. We had a great chat about family and farming which was really interesting. Bruce took us on a tour of the farm the next day and told us about their animals and crops. We met their puppies and had a wonderful relaxing stay. I would really love to go back one day.

This was an absolute bucket list tick, to stay in a 100 year old place that once served generations of the local community. The hosts had restored and captured in time the essence of moments long gone. We arrived to fresh flowers in every room, a sweet slice waiting on the table, a fireplace warming the house, there was also tea & coffee options, fresh bread, butter, milk & cereal choices. At night we could hear the ocean waves and the rest well the peacefulness of being in a rural setting. Everyone waved and smiled. Freshly baked famous paua pies were a few minutes walk. My children felt like they had moved into a museum filled with treasure troves of long ago. No need for a tv when they had a cupboard of games & activities to play with. A memorable stay like no other.

We had a lovely couple of days at Jemma’s place - even the Easter cyclone didn’t spoil our fun. Such a shame we didn’t see Waihau in all its glory but my husband caught a fish and finally got to go there (so he can now stop whinging about it! Haha) Jemma was lovely - really helpful and partially refunded our stay as she managed to find other people to stay for 2 nights at short notice. (We needed to stay close to home for the worst of the weather in case it was really bad. ) Thanks Jemma, hopefully we will be back to stay when the weather is a little more favourable!

Such a relaxing spot. Beds are very comfortable. Pine is a great host.

We just loved it. The cottage was like a home away from home…even came with a cat visit. Hosts were awesome, we would have loved to stay longer. Cottage was really well equipped, too. Can highly recommend and hope we will make it back one day.

Doris is an absolutely wonderful host. The house was so comfy, clean and relaxing. Doris always communicated efficiently. We will stay again to do Maunga Hikorangi tour. Thank you Doris

Enjoyed our stay and would stay again if needed. Vaughan was very hospitable as soon as I arrived. I definitely recommend staying at Vaughan and Rita's Airbnb. It is clean & warm, very cozy much like home and the surroundings are amazing. Thanks again very much appreciated.

We had a great stay with Stan, very comfortable accommodation with amazing views. Also very much appreciated our tour of the goldfish farm!
