This was an amazing place for us to stay as an extended family. There were nine of us, plus two dogs, and we rented the Doocot and the Lodge in the grounds. It is located right up in the hills and was blissfully remote yet easily accessible to the A90 to Perth and Dundee. The house itself was very comfortable and exactly as described. The sitting room was amazing with its enormously high ceilings, plenty of squishy sofas and a piano. There was also a Smart TV. For us, the best feature was the enormous dining table which easily seated us all and could have taken several other people too. We had lovely meals together all round the table. It was really memorable. The bathrooms were clean and new. The roll top bath was lovely and super to soak in. Check in, host communications etc were all super easy and they even helped us to have a hot tub ready for our arrival from Fife Hot Tub Hire. All in all, would highly recommend to people looking for a comfortable break away in the hills.

Great stay! The location is super convenient—Tesco Express is just around the corner, a local shop is two minutes away, and there’s a lovely park nearby that’s perfect if you have pets.Anzelika is incredibly responsive, flexible, and friendly. She even offered us an extra hour to check out, and later extended it by another hour, even though we didn’t end up needing it. The home itself is very cozy, spacious, and well-equipped—you’ll find everything you need in the kitchen. We even managed to park our SUV inside the property, which was a big plus. The overall vibe of the place is really welcoming. Loved the stay and would definitely recommend.

Nous avons passés deux jours chez Jamie et nous sommes très satisfaits. Ma fille de 6 ans était très contente de trouver des jouets dans la chambre d’enfants. Il y a un bus à proximité de la maison pour visiter Edimbourg. La maison est super et il y a tout ce qu’il faut. Très propre et sympa ! Merci Jamie

Had just a single nights stay for work nearby but the perfect place to lay my head! Quiet, comfortable and had everything I needed. Great communication with Jamie the host, easy check-in and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if working nearby.

We had a wonderful stay in Elie. Ann’s house is in a great location with lots of lovely touches. We particularly enjoyed the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom! Great garden for dogs and family alike, nice and secure.

We had an amazing time in St Andrews and Janice’s place was perfect for 6 adults on a golf trip. It was spacious, clean and the best location. I would highly recommend it

Lovely family break with 14 of us and a happy dog coming and going throughout the week. Great accommodation for wee ones and adults alike. The games room went down a treat As did the hot tub with the more adventurous family members and the two sitting areas and dinning room and kitchen were great to meet everyone’s needs. The house was clean well catered for and great grounds. Would highly recommend and one for us for the future again.

Perfectly lovely stay, easily accessible flat, not mobility friendly, but this isn't anyones fault. The area is lovely and out of the way but only a roughly £10 Uber from centre of Edinburgh, but there is a bus stop within a 2 mins walk. This location made it very easy to go in and out to explore. Very quiet in the evenings which was much appreciated after the busy touristy centre. The flat was spotless and well kept. Only thing I can recommend is make sure you stop at a supermarket or get food/drink/ want you want before journeying back to b&b.

Sue And Grant foram sempre muito prestáveis, ajudaram-nos em todos os aspectos possíveis, respondiam rapidamente às nossas questão e fizeram-nos sentir em casa. o Apartamento está muito bem localizado, próximo de paragens de autocarros e a 15m do centro. Apesar de ser um espaco pequeno, está muito bem equipado, rentabilizado e decorado, sendo o único aspeto menos positivo, a qualidade do colchão da cama (mole e pouco confortável, pelo menos para nós). Vale muito a pena pelo seu todo todo, voltávamos sem pensar duas vezes.

I booked this place for myself, my partner and an 8 yo for our last stay of our trip to Scotland. 4 days was sufficient for us to slow down in this 1st floor apartment in a quiet neighborhood. We didn’t use the kitchen much, but was fully functional and stocked with essential kitchen items for our use. Loved the kitchen counter space. In general, the apartment gave us the freedom and space to spread out and relax. I didn’t mind at all the comfy brown leather sofa alternative mentioned from a previous post, but decor sofa pillows are filled with feathers and were poking through in case anyone was allergic to bird feathers or have sensory issues. Bathroom was absolutely the best from our entire trip. We utilized the W/D. Drafted instructions and the machine manual was available in the W/D closet but might’ve conflicted a bit. Hang drying is a quintessential experience in the UK as the dryer doesn’t dry as thoroughly as my partner preferred. Would recommend this place and stay here again

The Upper Villa was a great place to in Edinburgh. Easy walking distance to Stockbridge for groceries, food, shopping and drinks. Ubers and buses available to Olde Town and other places near Victoria Street and Holyrood. Rona was very accommodating, even letting us borrow her meat thermometer for a delicious meal prepared by our friends from Norway. I would highly recommend this flat for your stay in Edinburgh!!

We really enjoyed staying at Helen’s modern flat in Dundee. It is central and easy to walk into the town centre within a few minutes. Plenty to see and do at the water front including the fabulous V&A but we were there mainly to see family. The flat is spotlessly clean and spacious. Love the ease of having two bathrooms when staying with 4 people. Lovely big dining table which we used a lot to cook for the family. There is a balcony for sunnier weather but I’d probably make it more private since it’s at street level and people do pass by. The kitchen was fairly well equipped but maybe a few extras would be good like a pizza cutter and more cutlery. All in all, we really enjoyed this modern, comfortable and spacious flat. We would definitely recommend it. Helen was also very prompt in replying when we asked questions. Thank you for a great stay!

As a Fifer, it’s always nice to come back and stay. Craigs place was easy to find, spacious and spotlessly clean, and Burntisland is a lovely town. I would certainly stay at Craigs again.

Peter’s flat was absolutely perfect for our stay! It was such a good location, so close to everything, but tucked on a side street so it somehow managed to be quiet and peaceful. The flat was comfortable and well equipped for our stay. Everything was as described. Check in and check out was easy and we were given very clear instructions for both. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

It is a beautiful and spacious apartment tucked away in Birnam. The apartment is welcoming and stylish. Conveniently close to the train station if you're travelling by public transport, and there is plenty of on street parking if you're driving. Birnam is within walking distance of Dunkeld (about 15 minutes) where there is more amenities. We recommend visiting the Birnam Arts Centre which is at the end of the road from the apartment, it is a lovely space and has a good cafe (reasonably priced too). If you're able to get to Pitlochry, we highly recommend a meal at The Wee Choo Choo restaurant (set in a converted train carriage, one that featured in Mission Impossible), the food was delicious and the staff lovely. Ali was a great and friendly host, very helpful and responsive, and provided local recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.

Another perfect stay at Harbour Haven. The large dining kitchen gives us somewhere to sit in the morning if the sofa bed in the living room is still occupied. The master bedroom is incredibly spacious with a generous four-poster. The flat has recently been renovated, though it was already in great condition. As always, the standout is the location. It’s perfectly situated between the high street and the promenade and the living room boasts the most glorious view of the harbour and the sea beyond. This is our third stay at Harbour Haven and we couldn’t recommend it strongly enough. The hosts are always so responsive, approachable and friendly.

Best location possible. Also very clear instructions and great communication which I find very important when travelling to a new place. Highly recommend.

This is a brilliant place to stay in an amazing location right by the beach - easy and free parking too right outside. North Berwick is such a nice place to stay great coffee houses, bakers and butchers and the boat trips arounfd the Bass Rock are a must !

Lovely property & equally lovely and accommodating host. Would recommend and will certainly re-book in the future.
