City/town information
Great Victorian town to visit for shopping. Highlights include Jim Thorpe train, Pocono biking along the gorge (rent bikes in town). Take a tour of haunted prison, see the Packer House, white water rafting is near by as well.
There is parking behind the train station. Parking fills up quickly on weekends during the Fall (amazing Fall Foliage). Additional parking is up Broadway for a few miles and they will shuttle you back to town.

One of my favorite places to hike. Lots of trails that are well marked. To get to bear creek preserve, you turn left onto Rt. 840 East, and turn left at the next light onto Rt. 115 North.

Natural Lands Trust's Bear Creek Preserve
47 Rabbit Run LnOne of my favorite places to hike. Lots of trails that are well marked. To get to bear creek preserve, you turn left onto Rt. 840 East, and turn left at the next light onto Rt. 115 North.

This is one of my absolute favorite places to go. About 1 hour away. They do charge an entry fee but there are lots of water falls. It is more commercial. They have an ice cream shot, American Indian Museum, and mining for gems.
