Catona: soggiorni in case vacanze

Our stay at Angela's place was excellent! The house is great, it consists of multiple buildings and different areas. This was a perfect place when travelling with teenagers. Great pool area, everything neat and a very well equipped kitchen and central hang-out area. Torregrotta is an authentic, unpolished, quiet town, away from the tourist crowds and very close to cute mountain villages. The town itself has shops to get basic necessities and some good local products. Teenagers were happy with pool area and house, but town was a little quiet to their taste. We loved exploring the area, for which the town is an excellent starting point. You definitely need a car though! Angela is a top host. 5 stars for her pro active communication and hospitality, even from a distance. Care takers Donata and Paolo get 5 stars as well. They were available for any advice or technical support with the house! Can wholeheartedly recommend this house if you are looking to explore N.E. Sicily!

Fabio was a charming and welcoming host. He is clearly passionate about tourism and making his guests welcome and at ease. He and his family were very kind. As a sporty family we used the gym a lot ( which we had to ourselves). We would have loved an outdoor pool but knew there wasn’t one and he is now aiming to install an outdoor pool. The apartment is well air conditioned and has everything needed ( we were a family of 5) and with plenty of space. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds Lovely robes left for us and a sun hat each Really nice touches which show that Fabio cares about making a good impression - which he did. You do need a car as the apartment is quite some way out but if you don’t mind that ( we didn’t) then the quiet was good. View of etna is lovely The balcony was particularly lovely to relax on and eat al fresco Well done Fabio

Highly recommended for people who expect privacy. It’s a modest but Clean and comfortable apartment. All things in descrption were found inside although it takes a bit time to guess for example how to turn on THE washing machine ,THE oven or warm Water. Instructions from Valentina are however clean. You can chill outside with beautiful view of perfectly maintained garden and sea view . THE biggest plus is also Access to beautiful pool, water is clean and its pretty big, circa 18 metres of length. Valentina is very caring person and despite not being present in Calabria , she gives all details about check in, house rules , places to visit, where to eat or buy local cheese. That was very helpful for us and I’m sure without her tips we would be unaware of many things around.

Die Wohnung hat eine traumhafte Alleinlage (mit den Vermietern) in den Bergen. Die Aussicht aus dem Garten ist wunderschön. In 2-3 km ist man auf dem Monte Ogliastro oder Monte Veneretta, von wo aus man die ganze Region überblicken kann. Traumhaft! Die Terrasse ist groß und vollständig umzäunt. Dann kommt der Parkplatz und dann der schöne umzäunte Garten. Die Katzen waren sehr nett und mit dem Hund gab es keine Probleme. Leider waren die Katzen alle sehr sehr dünn, mindestens 3 hatten schweren Durchfall. Die Schildkröten im Garten hatten sehr trostlose kleine Gehege und der Hund wurde oft auf den Balkon weggesperrt. Haustiere haben auf Sizilien leider meist ein schlimmes Leben. Das hat den Urlaub traurig gemacht.

Das Haus von Antonino und Sabrina ist ein Juwel. Gut gelegen zwischen Taormina, Catania und dem Ätna, mit Blick auf Berge und das Meer ist es eine Oase der Entspannung. Das Haus ist blitzsauber und mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll restauriert. Antonino ist ein fantastischer, engagierter Gastgeber. Er stand nicht nur auf Nachfrage mit Ratschlägen zu Ausflugszielen und Restaurants bereit, sondern tat alles, um unseren Aufenthalt rundum perfekt zu machen. Ich hatte bei der Buchung nicht angegeben, dass ich Rollstuhlfahrerin bin, und direkt am ersten Morgen standen zwei Rampen für die kleinen Kanten an der Tür und Terrasse bereit - wir waren gerührt und beeindruckt. Obwohl wir noch vor Pool-Saison da waren, hatte er uns den Pool hergerichtet. Insgesamt also ein Traumgastgeber! Für Gäste mit Hunden relevant: Das Grundstück ist nicht zu 100% umzäunt, es gibt eine Treppe zum Haus von Antonino runter. Alles andere ist zu und ein Traum für die Hunde. Danke!

Agréable séjour qui nous a permis de découvrir le sud de la Calabre. Andréa est réactif en cas de besoin et nous a donné des informations touristiques sur la région. Un grand merci pour les produitsocaux offerts : huile, œufs, miel et fruits...

Emilie and Alberto have the perfect spot in Castelmola. You can't beat the view and it's so incredibly easy to access. Alberto grew up in Castelmola and has all of the great recommendations. My mom and I rented the bottom and top floors, making it a perfect stay with plenty of space! Parking is incredibly easy. The beds are also comfortable, which is so important. I'll definitely be back!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! Le logement est conforme à la description. Merci à cristina pour son accueil chaleureux ses conseils et sa réactivité. Je recommande ce logement pour les familles qui souhaitent passer un séjour en Calabre !

Lele is an excellent hostess. The place matches the description perfectly. She has thoughtfully prepared a detailed instruction book with all the information we might need. Additionally, she provided us with plenty of helpful parking tips.

War wunderschön da oben, ruhig und trotzdem tolle Möglichkeiten essen zu gehen (super Restaurants in der Nähe). Pina hat sich super um uns gekümmert und da es im April manchmal noch etwas kühl war, war die Heizung auch ein toller Vorteil! in der Küche haben wir alles gefunden, was wir bräuchten und es war auch ein Willkommensgruß da!

Anna place was perfect for our family of 6. 2 min walk to the beach, beautiful beach and great food. The roof top patio was perfect for sun sets and a peace drink at the end of the night. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything!

Francesca ist sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin.Sie hat auf uns bis spät in der Nacht gewartet um uns bis zur Casa Serena zu begleiten. In der Casa Serena haben wir uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Tersse ist zum verlieben und wir werden die vermissen.Der Strand ist schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen und die Treppen,welche man bei Rückkehr überwinden muss ,haben uns nicht gestört. Casa Serena hat alles was man für schönen Urlaub braucht.Die Betten sind sehr bequem und auch Kissen sind sehr gut.Wir haben die Zeit in der Casa Serena genossen und würden in jedem Fall diese Unterkunft weiter empfehlen.

L'appartamento è bello, molto curato, inserito in un contesto splendido, la vista sul mare e le isole Eolie, tramonto spettacolare! Spiagge sia libere che attrezzate a breve distanza. Claudia è stata davvero molto gentile nel darci le indicazioni per arrivare, nell'accoglierci e nel darci preziose informazioni sui dintorni. Consigliatissimo! Torneremo sicuramente!

We liked the location and spaciousness of the accomodation. The roof terrace with extra cooking facilities is a lovely extra space. It was well equipped with everything needed and Salvotore left us some extras such as prosecco, coffee which was appreciated. he also sent us a guide of the local area which we used and was very helpful. It is easy to get to Taormina from here and we also had a car and visited Etna alone with the use of his recommendations. We would stay again.

Super special location, like living in a monument. Loved the big balcony which, with the sun is amazing for some morning yoga! 🧘

Bella casetta indipendente, molto comoda per andare sia al mare che a Scilla. Anche vicino al porto dove partono i traghetti per la Sicilia. Casa pulita, ordinata, silenziosa, tranquilla. Giovanna gentillissima, sempre a disposizione ed ad ajutare al massimo! Grazie per la bella permanenza.

Wij verbleven ruim twee weken in dit appartement in de lente. We werden hartelijk welkom geheten en onze vragen over bijvoorbeeld het vuilnisophaalrooster en favoriete restaurantjes werden snel en vriendelijk beantwoord. We hebben genoten van het mooie en telkens wisselende uitzicht over zee vanaf het balkon. We waren met de auto en dat was wel handig. Naar Forza d'Agrò kun je wandelen in ongeveer tien minuten, maar wil je naar het dorp in het dal (Sant'Alessio Siculo), dan is dat een wandeling van minimaal 45 minuten omlaag over dezelfde weg als waar ook auto's en bussen over rijden - dat is niet helemaal zonder gevaar. Dus dit appartement is het meest geschikt als je kunt beschikken over een auto. Voor ons tweeën was dit appartement een fantastische uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te leren kennen, zoals Forza d'Agrò, Taormina (inclusief het oud-Griekse theater), Syracuse en de Etna.

Adelfio and his daughter Alessia could not have been more friendly, helpful and responsive. Quickly made us all feel at home and showed us around interior and exterior of our AirBnb which was stunning inside and out. Taormina is a bit daunting to drive thru if you are not accustomed to the narrow streets and switchback. Adelfio met us outside on the street to help us into a parking spot that he had reserved for us. Alessia gave us a tour and helped with wifi, restaurant recommendations (all so delicious) and local sights to not miss. Lemon trees and orange trees were surrounding the pool and both in season and Alessia invited us to pick as many as we wanted!!! So delicious! Spent 5 nights and loved every minute. At the end of our visit, Adelfio guided us out of Taormina on his scooter. So helpful! Would definitely recommend and stay there again if we make it back someday.

I had an amazing stay at Dino’s place. He was accommodating to my last minute request and very communicative. Dino was so friendly and helpful; he offered to pick me up from the station and even took me to the supermarket to buy food. I was travelling alone and felt comfortable throughout my stay. The apartment has everything you need. The view from the bed and terrace is incredible. It is just a short walk to the beach. All in all I had an amazing stay. Thank you Dino! :)
