we loved our stay at Angtak and Catherine’s place! it lived up to all our hopes for the holiday. their home and studio is beautiful and we felt very welcome by our hosts. our room was super comfortable and clean, and was also private when we wanted to be. we were able to do a lot in and around Leh thanks to their great recommendations, which i don’t think we’d have found out about otherwise. the food was delicious, fresh and homemade, i can’t wait to try Angtak’s skyu recipe at home! their lunch and taxi recommendations were extremely helpful. we got to meet their lovely friends, and felt right at home. the location is close enough to the main city but not in the middle of all the touristy crowds so was perfect for us. also walking distance from a local market, which was handy.

Arif is a wonderful host and a nice person. He was always proactive and did whatever it took to make our stay comfortable. He helped us by going out of the way when we were stuck in a difficult situation on one of our trips in Leh. We cannot thank him enough. The facility is located just outside the city in peaceful and serene surroundings. One can enjoy beautiful views of the snow-clad mountains. The amenities in the facility are excellent, making long stays comfortable, like the one we had for about 12 days. The food choices are great. Arif and his mother cooked very tasty meals and catered to our requests every time. On the whole, we had a great time with Arif and made him friends forever. We highly recommend his place for anyone planning a trip to Leh.

Amazing place !! The house is lovely and the rooms are spacious and clean, with a little balcony. There is a beautiful garden where you can rest, and where the grow vegetables that you can eat at the restaurant. Everyone is super welcoming, they take care of your acclimatation, checking several times a day that you are feeling ok. Moreover the restaurant offers delicious and various meals, we took all our meals there. Can’t wait to come back after my trek in a few days.

It's a beautiful homestay managed by beautiful people. It was a very comfortable stay with great views and a peaceful location. The host was responsive and very helpful; took care of our smallest of needs. I highly recommend this place for a long stay.

We had an amazing time at Rigzin's listing. The rooms are the same as pictures and amenities are available as mentioned. The check in and check out was super smooth. The best thing was the help from owners as they were always there to cater to our requests and made our stay worth it. You would be living in a quiet location with an amazing view. The food was amazing. Would love to book again as it exceeded our expectaions.

Oh my God!! If u are visiting Padum on the way to Leh or Zanskar I would highly highly recommend this homestay. Its a traditional Zanskari style home with all facilities like electricity, hot water and great views. But the thing that stands out the most is the host. Mr. Urgain is a gem of a person who could probably write a book about his personal experiences. He made us feel right at home and his stories abt trekking, his skying school, his travels and the local traditions made our trip complete. The cherry on top is his food and travel recommendations. He treated us with such simple homemade local delicacies that we never wanted to leave. I would 100% go back to stay at his place just to enjoy his company. Totally worth it...

Even though we faced water and electricity outages during our trip, caused by heavy rain, Padma and her family provided water in buckets and still prepared breakfast and dinner for us. Padma also gave us recommendations and tipps what to eat and explore. Our stay gave us enlightening insight in the life of locals which we wouldn’t like to miss. The only downside was to use the bathroom during the night or early morning which is only reachable by taking the stairs outdoors.
