We really appreciated this spot as we explored the Maine coastal area. And the cold lake water kept us plunging for health and challenges! Beds were comfy and cozy! The kitchen allowed for nice meal prep and for the studying students in our group the relaxing view made it all bearable. We would love to come back in summer or fall! Thanks for being such accepting and helpful hosts!

Beautifuñ home, just as described. very clean and the beds were super comfortable. They even had a bed and bowls for my dog Bella and an enclosed backyard which was great. Modern appliances were great too. All in all a great place to stay with family and friends. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future. 10/10

We had a wonderful weekend at the Lyman cabin. The location and the house were beautiful and as advertised. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, sitting on the deck and dock when the sun was out, and playing games in the living room. I would recommend this accommodation to a friend and stay there again! What a beautiful place in a quiet and secluded spot in the woods but only a short 10min drive to the nearest Shaw’s Supermarket. What’s more our host, Noah, was very helpful when we needed any local advice. We used the three main bedrooms (beds, pillows and bedding) and they were very comfortable with the entire house a warm and cosy home-away-from-home. The kitchen is well appointed and it’s great having two separate living spaces to enjoy playing games, reading quietly or watching Netflix. The stairs up and down could possibly be difficult for the elderly or infirm but shouldn’t present a problem for the average person. Initially I was a little apprehensive about finding the place but both Google and Apple Maps had no problem whatsoever: an easy 1 ½ hour drive from Boston Logan International Airport. To add to the occasion we had snow on Xmas-eve making it a truly magical setting. We would love to return and can’t recommend this place highly enough. Thank you so much! K+

We enjoyed a great stay at this place, it was quiet and peaceful just what we were looking for. The food in the area was excellent and we enjoyed exploring some local spots. Will definitely return in the future

The house was perfect! We could not have had a better experience! The house had a lot of charm and all updated appliances! The location was perfect and the host was great! I would stay there again only next time it would be for longer than 2 days!

Alison's place was beyond amazing! We loved having space to spread out! There were nine of us ages 4-80 and everyone had a fabulous time despite not the best weather. It's a super private house ona beautiful lake. We enjoyed all the kayaks and paddleboards. Communication was fabulous. We have rented a lot of lake houses and all agree this is our favorite spot! This place had everything I needed for a perfect stay. The bed was cozy, and every detail was so thoughtfully arranged—it felt like everything was exactly where I needed it. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure I was comfortable. Plus, the location is fantastic, offering easy access to both Portland and New Hampshire. I had a wonderful stay and would love to return!

Charming older home in a beautiful, friendly and quiet neighborhood with gorgeous views. Plenty of space, the loft area was a big hit for the kids. Both the upper deck and grassy area in front of the dock provided perfect outdoor dining. Spacious master bedroom and bathrooms. Open concept living area with plenty of seating. The kayaks and canoe were an added bonus. Great swimming and fishing right from the dock. Lots of amenities provided a stress free stay. Neighbors are very friendly. Host was very responsive. I would definitely recommend this place!

Before booking, I had a few questions that Dennis answered immediately. He was a very friendly attentive host & a pleasure to communicate with. The house was neat & clean and so much to keep everyone occupied inside & out. Everyone loved the arcade games & the pool table on the inside. The outside was like a piece of heaven. Nice large backyard leading down to a sandy beach with a dock, a fire pit & a peaceful setting. There were kayaks to explore the lake in, which everyone enjoyed. The only negative comment is it’s hard to leave…lol. Thank you Dennis for your great hospitality. We will be renting again!!!

Kelley and Jim were great and very accommodating for my 92 year old father. They cleared the snow and made sure he had a safe walkway. The basket with the bread, jam, wine, and fresh baked pumpkin bread was a great touch!

My airbnb stay at Keri-Ann’s was wonderful from start to finish. Communication prior and during the stay were great! The unit was super cute and decorated really tastefully, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Unit was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. Keri-Ann went out of her way to make sure I had an easy and lovey check in, even going out of her way to provide gluten free snacks and fruit, and provided great info about the concert venue I was attending during my stay. She and Blaine were fun to talk to in the evening around the fire. Everything about this rental experience was top notch! Great rental experience!

Overall, it was a nice place to stay. Their instructions were spot on and the Airbnb was easy to get to. Friendly people.

My husband and I spent 6 days here for our anniversary. I wanted a location on the water and close to visit all the major coastal towns in Maine. This was perfect! The home, felt like home, and everything was clean and beautiful. Adam was very helpful whenever I had any questions. Sipping coffee every morning on the back porch and watching the sunrise over the lake was so peaceful. Grocery store close by and great hiking/walking areas right out the front door. Can’t wait to come back and bring the family.

Don’t tell anyone about Shelley’s place! We want to be the only ones to be there!!!!! We had a beautiful time ! Me, my daughter and her 2 yr old son. The lake is soooooo clear and relaxing. Canoed every day. Loons in the lake everyday. Went and picked blueberries and went to the children’s museum😃 Close to Portland! We’ll bring the Daddy next time! Thanks Shelley

It was overall a tremendous experience. I would definitely recommend it!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Debbie’s cabin. The interior is tidy, simply furnished and decorated with Debbie’s nice paintings. The heater worked well, but it was a little noisy. Luckily we didn’t need it through the night, so we were able to enjoy the peace and calm of the quiet lakeside location. Nothing like waking up to the view of that pristine lake. Some mornings it was so still it reflected the trees. We loved that. Water pressure was a little touch and go, but overall not a problem.

We came here to visit the southern part of Maine. Clearly this location is one of the best airbnb we’ve been at. House is lovely and is even better in reality than on the pictures. Everything was super clean and tidy with all you would ever need for your stay. We came here with our 3 kids and they had a lovely time thanks to all the toys, books and board games at disposal. Place is quiet and very nice during fall season so great for a peaceful time away from the city. Didn’t get the chance the practice the canoe by lack of time but it was very tempting. We will be definitely be back!

The Loon's Nest exceeded our expectations. The cottage is in a beautiful setting on a peaceful lake. It is well appointed inside and out so that you have everything you need for an amazing lakefront getaway.

From arriving to the hospitality throughout the stay to check out everything was just amazing!! Hidden gem for sure! Very relaxing cottage with a beautiful view. Very cozy, felt right at home. I used to live in Maine so returning for NYE and my daughter’s birthday and experiencing this after the fast pace living in Miami was an amazing experience, just what I needed!

Marina’s little cottage is a gem which we highly recommend. It is situated high above the peaceful and quaint lake providing interesting views. The sunrise while sitting on the dock was a favorite. A great place to get some reading done without everyday distractions. Everything was clean, neat and organized! The new kitchen was a treat! For a small place it is very spacious inside, beds and sitting areas comfy and everything one needs for a pleasant stay. Marina gets an A+ for communication. We may be back next year and will recommend it to friends and family. Please don’t hesitate to book this place for a relaxing getaway.
