Great place, excellent hiking and everything you need for a comfotable stay. Jim was available for questions with quick replies and had great information about the trails and history of the area. This is a special area and you can tell there are people who care deeply about maintinaing it. We will definitely return to this area!

We had such a wonderful stay at Cara's cottage. The location was incredibly relaxing and exceeded our expectations. Cara was an outstanding host, always quick to respond, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We look forward to staying at Cara's cottage the next time we visit.

Convenient location for stay purposes. House was perfect size for needs and was easy for an out of stater to find. Check in and out was easy and convenient as well. The hosts, Cody and Shannon, were both very accommodating and friendly. Will probably try to rent from this host again in the future!

We had a great short stay. Great location with many amenities. Nice decor and layout. My kids had fun with the foosball, air hockey, and swing-set. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again for a longer duration when back in the area.

Trisha is a fantastic host. The house is absolutely incredible. We had an issue where we broke something of hers and she worked with us to remedy the situation while staying very professional and always working with us to find a solution. Trisha probably wouldn’t have us back but I would stay at any of her properties.

Comfortable Stay, but Needs a Few Upgrades I stayed at this home in Bettendorf, IA for 3 nights with a group of 6 guests. Overall, the location was quiet and peaceful, and the house matched the description accurately. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the hot tub, though we didn't use it, looked clean and well-maintained. However, there were a few areas that could use some attention. The pots and pans were in poor condition and definitely need to be replaced immediately, as cooking was a bit challenging. The kitchen also felt a little sparse—there weren’t enough accessories (like basic tools), and we had only half a roll of paper towels available, which was a bit of an inconvenience. A coffee bar would be a fantastic addition to make the space feel more complete. Despite these issues, I would still recommend this home to others. It was comfortable and in a great location, and with a few updates, it could be even better!
