The Downtowner house was perfect for a weekend at the lake! The location is wonderful- so easy to walk to the beach and downtown. The house was clean and had lots of amenities. The hosts were quick to communicate with and gave clear instructions. My kids appreciated the books and toys. The neighbor lady next door was very friendly too- she greeted us minutes after we arrived! One thing to note is there are a lot of stairs and no way to block them so it could be a little risky for small kids. Overall, we would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again.

Property as described. The host responded very quickly when I had issues. Unfortunately, the train runs nearby but the good news is that it’s not as active at night. Something to consider if you’re a light sleeper. Laundry in basement which was different than what I’m used to. It’s a cute house though that’s well disguised.

Home looked just like the photos. Enough beds for a large group. Really enjoyed the outdoor firepit. Walkable to downtown.

This house was wonderful for our party of 6, but it would easily accommodate up to 8. Not only are there a queen, 2 douple and 2 twin beds, but the living room is large and will seat 9 people. The two tables will seat 10 people. In addition to the full bath on the first floor, there is another bathroom with shower in the basement. We didn't use them but having a washer and dryer would be handy for longer stays. The views from the living room and kitchen are lovely and we regularly saw deer. The location was fairly convenient for us to spend time with our son's family in Wells and it was lovely. Our party consisted of adults, but this would be a nice location for families with children. The roomy 2 car garage is an asset in inclement weather. Will be staying here again if it is available for future family trips.

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others!! Very clean and great location for Downtown! Was great for our group of 9! Would easily sleep more!! 3 nice bathrooms ❤️

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Josh and Katie’s house on Clear Lake, Iowa. The home was warm, inviting, and thoughtfully prepared, making it the perfect getaway. The views of the lake were stunning, wood-burning fireplace and the peaceful atmosphere was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. Josh and Katie were incredibly accommodating and responsive. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a great time. Thank you, Josh and Katie, for sharing your beautiful home.
