Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Tiny on the River

According to Forbes, Escape makes "the most beautiful tiny houses in the world". Ours is perched near our home above the Black River. It's a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the interstate, parks, trails, and our vibrant downtown with cafés, shops, and great restaurants. Enjoy privacy and breathtaking views from the enormous windows or the cozy daybed on the porch! Deer, beaver, eagles, and more make frequent cameos as the seasons paint shifting riverscapes and astonishing sunsets. *No Pets

Rustic Spring Cabin at Echo Valley Farm

Next to a spring and gardens. Glamping with electricity, wood burning stove and supplied water. Charcoal grill and fire pit available. Parking at the cabin. Non chemical port-o-let toilet is a short walk. 3 miles from Wildcat Mountain State Park and 7 miles from the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. Great for hiking and immersing in Nature. This cabin is located near another farm resident's cabin. Bakery's open on Saturdays May - October or order in advance in off season. LGBTQ owned. BIPOC welcomed.

Driftless Glamping on a Bluff

Rustic camping in the Driftless Region on the top of a bluff in a 20ft Bell Tent ,extra tent with queen air mattress. Relax without having to pack, set up , tear down and put away when you get home, more time to do things you enjoy. Go trout fishing, walk or ride the Omaha Trail Tunnel, Elroy- Sparta Trail, or the 400 Trail. Necedah Wildlife Refuge, Buckhorn, Castle Rock, Wisconsin Dells, Amish scenic drive, and Wildcat State Park with canoeing down the Kickapoo River are all within 30 minutes.

Funky, tidy 23 year old country cabin on 120 acres of farmland & woods in a private, quiet rural setting. It's cozy, 950 sq ft, built with stone and wood. Open concept with a two story fireplace, porch fireplace, firepit, and open loft for sleeping (1 bed), with spiral stairs, lots of windows, walnut floors and trim, oak beams and pine kitchen tops. Shower is big and open, with doors opening to a back deck for outdoor showering. Beautiful covered porch overlooking rolling meadows and woods.

Cabin is cozy, with an aesthetic we're calling supper-club-chic. The perfect place to read, relax, reconnect. Nestled in the heart of Wisconsin's Driftless area, a remote, lovely, nearly-wild kingdom, easy driving distance from Chicago and Madison. As of 2025, a resident beaver family are redesigning the creek/yard: you'll have a front row seat.

CR Station Train Caboose

Enjoy the restoration of our charming and cozy caboose! Complete with all the amenities you'll need and more! Linens and towels, refrigerator, microwave, a double burner hot plate, dishes for cooking, barware for cocktailing, and even the original conductor's chairs to watch the sunset over the horse pasture. You'll love this place because of the spectacular views, horses, wildlife, fishing, hiking and hot tub for relaxing, a romantic getaway or simply just girl time. This spot is perfect for couples or solo adventurers! A unique suite is attached to an elegant vintage peg barn. Space for bringing horses, snowmobiles or ATV's since we have trails. A mile away from snowmobile trails and 25 mins from a State Park. Also, perfect for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Fire pit available.

Sittin Pretty Tiny House is perched up on Dach Ridge six miles out of Viroqua just off County NN offering lovely views across neighboring farm fields toward the western horizon. Surrounding woods with a walking trail give an intimate sense of the natural world. You are in the heart of Amish country and the goings and comings of their agrarian lives give a sense of another time. 1/4 mile walk down the road, at the nearest Amish neighbor, you can buy produce in season and eggs.

Grapevine Log Cabins, based in Sparta WI, offers pet friendly cabin rentals on a family dairy farm. Amenities and activities include: a walking trail, bike trail, cows in pasture, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, grills outside (there is no cooking in the cabins), Air Conditioning, Heat and firewood is supplied. Nearby activities include: canoeing, fishing, 4 wheeling, antiquing, and superb scenic sites. Pet Policy: Pets may stay with you for an extra $25 per pet/night.
