Located next to the owners’ home, but still maintaining solitude and privacy, the cottage is surrounded by open fields and is a haven for wildlife.

This 17th-century barn conversion is full of character, featuring exposed beams and stonework throughout. Upstairs, there is an open-plan kitchen and living area with a wood-burning stove, overlooking surrounding fields. An outdoor balcony provides a lovely space to relax and enjoy the view. The property also offers a wood-fired sauna with indoor hot and cold showers, which can be booked separately. An on-site café and coffee shop are just a short walk away. Dogs are welcome by arrangement.

Wetheral is just 3 miles from junction 42 on the M6 and the village has great amenities including a Village Shop and post office, Cafe, and a great pub just across the road! Wetheral Railway Station is a short walk from the cottage with regular trains to Carlisle and Newcastle. Easy access to Gretna Green, the Lake District, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The Cottage is set off the beaten track where you will have the chance to enjoy some peace and quiet and relax!

Gatesgarth is a 2 bedroomed traditional English cottage with self contained bathroom, kitchen & lounge, part of a 16th Century Inn, all overlooking the Eden Valley. Our kitchen has a log burner so you can unwind in a cozy atmosphere. This cottage has a private entrance and each room has a beautiful aspect overlooking the countryside.
