Communication with the host Julie were great. The cottage is beautiful and well furnished. Kitchen had every appliance we could have needed and more. Bed were comfy and bed linen clean. Even treats for the dogs. The welcome pack of bread, milk etc was a great help as we arrived late afternoon(we especially enjoyed the wine!). We travelled up to Seahouses and Bamburgh and to Morpeth. We have holidayed in Northumberland for over 30 years and had never visited Newbiggin. my daughter loved walking up early to walk along the beach to watch the sun rise. We would recommend this cottage as a base to explore this stunningly beautiful part of the country.

We can only say extremely positive comments about Amanda and Seas the Day. The house was a home from home, we settled instantly. Everything you could want was provided and kitchen appliances were straight forward to use. The house was immaculate and well cared for. The area was quiet and in a good location for visiting local beaches and castles.We were blessed with sunshine which made every trip out, beautiful. Amanda was a super, responsive host.We thank you and wish you a happy, successful future. xl

Nigel and Jane were very helpful before our stay and kept in touch. The cottage is spacious and felt welcoming with everything we could want. Lovely touch of a chocolate cake and dog treats on arrival ! Location was perfect with sea views from the cottage and panoramic view of the bay from the garden. Short stroll to the sandy beach and lots of places to visit locally. Perfect relaxing break and I’m sure we will be back.

Lovely little cottage right beside the sea. Excellent location for walking to Whitley Bay and Tynemouth in the other direction. A little pricey for what is essentially a 2 bed, 2 bath house with basic facilities but a lovely stay nonetheless.

The communication from start to finish was excellent. The caravan was immaculate, very clean and the attention to detail was second to none. Offered an early check in.. Nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant stay!

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy parking outside the house. The house is beautifully decorated, every thin you could need is supplied. Beds very comfortable and nice clean fresh bed linen and towels. Lovely bathroom and powerful shower. All in all a lovely home, close to beach and easy access to other places of interest. Would recommend staying there

Lovely caravan, really clean and beautifully decorated. They left us a welcome basket which was a lovely touch. Would defo stay here again Tom was really helpful but also left us to it - which we liked. 5 stars!

Myself, Mum and 5 year old son just stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely break! David is a responsive and thoughtful host, replying quickly, arranging for the heating to be on for arrival and even leaving lovely treats for us to enjoy! The place is absolutely spotless, super clean and well organised, it has everything you'd need for a short stay. Would definitely recommend! We ventured to Cresswell Beach and White House Farm in Morpeth which is a must if you have little ones. Lovely memories made... as well as some sand castles!

Absolutely perfect break away. Fantastic position of the van, amazing sea views. Van had everything we needed. Kids loved being so close to the beach and were able to come and go whenever they wanted as we could see them at all times. James was great at answering any queries… within minutes! We will 100% be back. Thank you so much.

We really enjoyed our trip to Northumberland and staying in Linda's caravan. The caravan is spotless and had everything we needed. Lovely and cosy and a great space to relax. Linda is very helpful and thoughtful leaving little treats for our children- thank you. The local area is beautiful with lots of castles and beaches to explore. Would definitely stay again as we have more exploring to do in the Summer! Thankyou x

What a beautiful view of the sea, caravan was lovely. Bed was so comfy, the location was great, nice and quiet. Will definitely recommend.

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

Anne’s place is absolutely amazing, perfect location very private and amazing views. Anne’s place was exactly how it was described very clean tidy felt right at home straight away, we look forward to making a return booking soon.

Absolutely gorgeous caravan . The lock box for the key isn't the easiest place to access if you have trouble bending or if the ground is wet This caravan is beautiful, fantastic location, parking space and its at the quieter end of the park. I would highly recommend anyone to book with Christopher, he is a fantastic host and I would definitely stay again. Thanks Christopher

My partner, young kids and I had the most wonderful Easter break at Vikki's place. We really appreciated the super calm and understated luxury vibe to the home and all the attention to detail that had gone into creating such a welcoming and well-thought out space. The cottage is TARDIS like with the traditional frontage giving no clue to all the airy space and mod cons inside. The location was also very special: a stone's-throw from the beaches. attractions and shop for essential in a lovely car-free street but with parking very close by. Check-in and check out were streamlined and Vikki was such a kind and thoughtful host leaving us basics in the fridge together with some local sweet treats; very welcome after a very long drive up. She was also really accommodating in allowing us a later check-out. Thank you so much Vikki for sharing your amazing home with us and we hope to get the chance to enjoy it again next time we are up!

Melanie’s place is fantastic. Such a brilliant location in Seaham for everything we wanted to do and what an amazing view of the sea out front! Everything we needed for our short stay was provided and Melanie’s instructions for accessing the building were clear and helpful. The 50% off breakfast offer at The Lamp Room is definitely something to take advantage of - the food was fantastic and even better at those prices! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

We stayed at Seahorse Cottage for two nights in early May and loved it. (2 adults, one 6 year old) The house was perfect for us, immaculately decorated, clean, comfy, warm and relaxing. It was really so handy for the beach in Newbiggin, about 100 yards, the promenade is nice for scooting and cycling, albeit maybe not if it were busier. Lots of nice restaurants, cafes and takeaways all within yards of the house, plus Co-Op opposite. Lots of amazing beaches in the area to discover such as Durridge Bay, we also went to other places such as Northumberlandia, Woodhorn Museum etc Lorna was an exceptional host. The comms were almost instant and she had recommendations and info galore. It was a pleasure dealing with Lorna and staying in this superb house. We have other places to visit in that area and never tire of the beaches so we’ll hope to be back at Seahorse Cottage!

This was a truly wonderful place to stay. Felt like home as every little detail had been thought about and was really cosy. It was perfect for the 6 of us. Great location right next to the sea with wonderful sunrises strolling along the beach. Beautifully decorated and well kept accomodation. Close to some fabulous attractions. We enjoyed Woodhorn Colliery museum, saw dolphins at Newbiggin as the sun set, a fantastic boat trip to the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne from Seahouses, Warkworth Castle and beach, and a stop in Amble. Thank you so much to our wonderful hosts who kept in good communication throughout and were really helpful. We would thoroughly recommend this place to others looking for a base to explore Northumberland and all it has to offer.

Stayed here for a quiet stag with some friends. It was perfect for what we were looking for- beds were comfortable and the place is bigger than it looks in the pictures, we comfortably fitted around the living room area with a couple beers. The 2 minute walk to the beach was great for a kick about & a swim. The barn next door is a great option for coffees & Ubers were readily available to get to the local pub as well. The hosts were great, on hand to help and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you had a group looking to stay.

Lovely spacious house with a homely feel to it. Suited our needs perfectly and had a fabulous weekend celebrating a 21st birthday. Lovely coastal walk and great local food. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

Our second stay at Ben & Amy's place. Clean and comfortable accommodation, great location for walking to Blyth and Whitley Bay on the coastal path. Great pubs serving food, chip shop and the co op, bus stops, all within a short walk from the annex. Quiet street with easy parking right outside. Lovely walks from the door, down the beck and beyond, we walked miles. Had a lovely time we would highly recommend Ben & Amy's place. 5*
