Our tiny house in the trees is set amongst the ferns and pongas with seclusion in mind, only native birds as close neighbours. No road noise, off street parking. Nature permitting, you can star gaze while soaking in the outdoor bath, spot the milky way, or our very own glow worms. 15mins drive to CBD and Eat street, Gondolas, Canopy Tours, Hobbiton approximately an hour away.

The perfect place for those who seek water sports & the Timber Trail and Waikato River Trail is easily accessible. Taupo and other surrounding lakes are within a 35 minute drive.

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Enjoy nature, animals and a relaxed rural setting, while being close to Rotorua and Taupō attractions, including Wai-o-tapu and our local natural hot pools. The unit sleeps up to 4 and has two connected rooms, a bathroom and kitchenette. The main kitchen is shared with me in the main house. Three friendly dogs are part of the household. Newly renovated in August 2026.
