We loved our stay so much that we booked a second visit almost immediately. The flat is spacious, clean, comfortable, and close to everything in town. Heather and Eric are clearly proud of their property and maintain it to the highest standard. We 100% recommend!

This was a lovely newly renovated space that was perfect for my significant other and I. It had everything we needed for a weekend getaway and was right next to the downtown area and was a quick drive to the beach! Jake responded immediately to our messages and made sure we had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to relax in.

Very comfortable stay with a peaceful hot tub yard to kick back in. Great stop for our roadtrip down the coast- everything we needed and so spacious and welcoming! The hot tub was private and such a perfect touch. Definitely recommend!

Katie was so knowledgeable on the area, and helped inform us on the area like no other local could! When we first walked into the house the smell of freshly baked bread filled the room. She made us bread to eat! I ate that bread every day I was there. Delicious. The kitchen was clean and had plenty of the amenities/tools a kitchen should have. We cooked every day rather than going out because we enjoyed cooking there so much! The rooms are tidy and comfy. The washer and dryer were a plus! Having the outside patio area was peaceful and nice to have. So close to cal poly and so close to downtown, yet with plenty of privacy. I recommend Katie’s place wholeheartedly!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days while we hiked in the redwood forest. It was a clean and modern spot that was near local restaurants, stores, and gas before we set off on our day's adventure!

We wanted something in walking distance to the Arcata square and Cal Poly. Try the restaurant Salt in the square and Cafe Brio! Yum 😋

Clean, peaceful, comfortable.

Probably one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. It was more like a tiny house and it was decorated so cute. We loved that it came with a washer/dryer combo, was really convenient and helpful. Absolutely loved how it felt like home.

Eric and Dorian were super easy to work with. Very responsive with communication and local tips. The place itself is amazing with fantastic views, beautiful garden and such a pleasant quaint town. Grocery, shops, restaurants, coffee shop, nice hiking trail right out front! The beach is visiible from the front deck with a nice short walk to both that and the pier. A fantastic spot to cook a nice meal in the kitchen or at the grill, lots of outdoor coffee and dining space. The wood burning fireplace and hot tub are super bonus on either a rainy day or a salty dip. We had both sun and rain the place is perfect for either. Thanks so much for sharing such a special property.

A beautiful, comfortable, and amazing place to stay. Had everything we needed to make our stay feel like a home away from home.

This is truly a great place to stay when visiting or in my case, working in the area. Would highly recommend. The host was very helpful and assisted me and my coworker with getting inside the home after driving 23 hours from Colorado. If I had to highlight one thing that I absolutely loved about this place it would be the backyard and all the frogs vocalizing in the evening.

Very peaceful and perfect for a getaway. Close to the beautiful Headwater trail- we saw an otter the first night! The house was clean and cozy- and while it felt peaceful and remote- town was not too far away. Thank you!

Loved this place!! The home has alot of character and space. Big open living area that was very comfortable for my elderly parents. The home has several sets of stairs, which I was worried about for my mom. The stairs are solid, with nice handrails and the grip pads on each step. My mom was able to use the stairs rather easily. A nice little room off the living area to play board games. The kitchen is equipped with all cooking utensils. The bedrooms are up the stairs with two bathrooms. Nice size cozy beds, two rooms with TVs which you don't see often. Bathrooms have everything you need, which I appreciated. The house stayed very warm, even when turning the thermostat down. House is centrally located close to the freeway, and close to downtown Arcata. We would definitely stay here again.

Colleen's Cottage was a wonderful place to stay. The kitchen was great for all the cooking did over the holidays and the beds are comfortable. Can't wait till the summer to utilize the grill in the backyard. It rained the entire time we were there as it was late December. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy Eureka and Fresh Freeze is only a block away!

Ian’s place is in a beautiful neighborhood near Cal Poly Humboldt. Very comfortable private home. Within walking distance to the Arcata Community Forest is key allowing for breathtaking walks in the redwoods from the home and back. Location is marvelous, also just a short drive to the quaint downtown. The home was cozy, clean and equipped with everything for a nice stay. I would be happy to stay again.

Excellent place to stay. Very clean and very comfortable. Great host. Expected to be able to see ocean based on photos but that’s ok. This place was a win win!!!
